This little dude or dudette happened by the bathrooms one evening and before I knew what I was doing, I leaned down and put my hand near. The tail shook violently and I JUMPED back. It is only a gopher snake but it definitely wanted me to think it was a rattler.

ReplyDeleteJust Kidding. You know, Bree, maybe we'll make this a feature on the main website. I've thought about doing this my self. It seems like a great way to have reserve docents and the public keep in touch with what's going on at the Reserve and, of course, know about new volunteer opportunities! Great innovative work!
Btw, I'm sooo glad we don't have rattlers here! But with global warming that may change :(
